Academic Background
Dr MacLeary is a multidisciplinary environmental scientist with over 15 years of experience across the environmental, engineering, and mining sectors. She has a strong academic background in geology and geomorphology and, for her doctorate, investigated changes in earth surface processes in relation to global environmental change. Dr MacLeary also has extensive work experience in water and environment consultancy; she is skilled in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river restoration, flood risk management, hydrology, GIS, and hydraulic modeling.
Editing and Reviewing Experience
Dr MacLeary has over 4 years of experience as a dedicated specialist scientific editor and over 15 years of experience writing and editing journal articles and technical reports in both academia and industry. She has also worked as a researcher on specialist factual television productions and has produced educational materials in STEM subjects. Dr MacLeary joined Edanz Group as an editor and reviewer in 2019.
